Acne is cause by dirt? FALSE

Acne is NOT caused by dirt so over scrubbing acne not only does not help but it can make it worse by over drying the skin and triggering a “supply and demand” response to “send more oil”. Acne is typically seen in Adolescent Teen -Boys and Girls alike but can also be present in Adults, considered Adult Acne.

Causes range mostly from a rise of male hormone androgen (present in males and females) stimulated in sebaceous glands, to stress, medications, diet (sugar), and using the wrong products. Acne can be debilitating to some and we are here to help you and guide you to clearer more beautiful skin.
